Le Goût du Vin – Producer wines for over 25 years
The Le Goût du Vin adventure begins with exoticism on the island of Saint Martin in the Caribbean. Daniel Passeri, a young chef trained at the Simone Weil Hotel School in Dijon, opened his first restaurant with Burgundian flavors in 1979, called L’Auberge Gourmande. His cuisine, praised by The New York Times, became incredibly successful, leading to the opening of a second establishment named Le Tastevin in 1984.
Eager to offer a wine list worthy of the establishment’s name, Daniel became a true enthusiast and specialized in importing and wholesaling by creating the company Grands Vins de France in 1988. Eventually, Daniel ceased his restaurant activities to fully dedicate himself to his passion and opened three retail shops named Le Goût du Vin in Saint Martin, Saint Barthélemy, and Anguilla. Today, Grands Vins de France is the largest wine importer in the Lesser Antilles, serving no less than 15 islands.
Long located on rue de l’Anguille, our cellar in Marigot has been in business for over 30 years.
! Martial, Christophe and Marie-Maude welcome and advise you in a friendly, modern and spacious sales area.
Le Goût du Vin – A constantly evolving business
Always halfway between the Caribbean and Burgundy, Daniel expanded his business by establishing himself as a wholesaler in France, closer to his roots, in 2011. Having become a seasoned connoisseur of foreign wines, he holds the exclusive importation rights for over 300 essential references. Subsequently, the first Le Goût du Vin store opened in the city center of Dijon, followed by another in Quetigny in 2017. Joined by a team of young dynamic cellar masters, sommeliers, and passionate individuals, Daniel Passeri secures his jobs and contributes to training future cellar masters by welcoming interns each year. In a familial atmosphere built on values of proximity and professionalism, this independent company, an expert in French and foreign wines, shares over 25 years of expertise with its clientele.

“Wow! Oenophiles, this is your Eden. I am very impressed with the fabulous selection of wines not just from France but from all over the world that they have in this store.
The friendly, very knowledgeable, and helpful multilingual staff makes it even better. They are happy to help but will leave you in peace if you just want to browse the mouth wantering selections.
Want a special occasion wine? Are Gaja, Screaming Eagle or Montrachet special enough? However, there are plenty of good, modestly priced options too. The staff can give you great recommendations if you wish.
The store itself is bright and well laid out, and as befits a proper wine store, it’s kept cool, so the wine doesn’t get hot. There’s a tasting room in the back as well. I believe they do wine and cheese pairings but I’m not certain.
Check with them regarding their free tastings. I thoroughly enjoyed the one I tried, which featured a rose, an Arneis, a Loire Cab Franc and a fabulous bargain Bordeaux”.
